| Ok so yesterday was one of the most amazing days of my life. I had honors band, and I was first chair clarinet.  I've never been first chair for anything. My friend Katy (who was also there) is first chair at our high school. And two girls from another school usually beat everyone at honors band. But somehow yesterday I was put at first. I was so excited and proud of myself and completely shocked. It just felt so good to finally be first chair for once in my life. And I got to have a solo in Amazing Grace and that was the only time I've ever had a solo at a concert. It was a very exciting day for me. It gave me a lot more confidence in my playing ability, which is good since I want to play in college next year.  | |
